Requirements
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Current professional license within state of practice
- Other specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific Emergency Room assignments.
- ER experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of two years of experience as an RN
- The Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certifications and the Certified Emergency Room Nurse (CEN) Credential are recommended. They may be required for specific travel nurse positions, and the NIHSS (stroke scale) is applicable for stemi centers.
